Capitalising on the boom in business travel and regional visitors to the UAE capital, Liwa Executive Suites has achieved high occupancies during its first year of operation
Ending November with an average occupancy of more than 90 per cent, Liwa Executive Suites, managed by Coral Hotels & Resorts, has established a niche for convenient serviced suite accommodation in the heart of Abu Dhabi, according to General Manager Amr Hamed.
He said that while the focus had been on the expansion of deluxe hotels in the UAE capital, demand for value-priced accommodation is spiraling from both business and leisure visitors.
“During the recent Formula 1 race weekend, Liwa Executive Suites was full as fans sought accommodation that was not beyond their budget,” he said. “Meanwhile, we are continuing to build our relationships with corporate customers who value our central location both for meetings and to host visiting executives.”
The hotel has launched a MeetMe package offering an inaugural half price discount for daily delegate rates, offering an AED75 package (plus 16 per cent tax and service) that includes lunch and two coffee breaks.
“Since we placed this in the market place, we have attracted a lot of local business including hosting training sessions for Liwa Trading Enterprises and meetings for Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering,” said Mr Hamed, adding that the hotel will be acting as sponsor for the latter group’s 34th anniversary.
Opened in February as the first Coral hotel in the UAE capital, Liwa Executive Suites is located next to City Terminal in downtown Abu Dhabi, close to offices, malls and tourist attractions.
It offers 54 suites, fitness centre, rooftop pool, dedicated business centre and three meeting rooms, all-day restaurant café and 24-hour room service.
